MassiveMods also uses a metal conditioner in its H3 fuels. SYNTEC 1is used by the US military in machine and weapons applications . When it is applied to a metal surface it chemichally reacts with and is absorbed by the metal. The reaction takes place between 38 Deg C and 66 Deg C depending on friction and load conditions. The effect of the chemichal absorbtion is to stiffen, not harden, the metal surface. The treated surfaces then become approximately 17 times stiffer when the reaction is complete. The increased stiffness dramatically reduces parsitic drag. This too is only used by MassiveMods. Friction Modifiers can cause varnish and other undesired gum build up on the internals. This is why we only use SYNTEC 1 . Some interesting information on Hybrid 3 Technology What we have done with MM fuels and Hybrid 3 technology is for the first time incorporate 3 oils into a fuel that cover the whole performance range. The way oils work is they need heat to loosen up. In 4 stroke applications the engine can heat up and the oil can stay a steady temp. In 2 Stroke applications its a different kettle of fish. The fuel enters the engine at say 40 °C and is quickly raised to about 65 °C in the crank case then hits up to 320 °C in the combustion chamber. Now if you have 1 oil or 2 oils they need to compensate for CST (centistoke) working ranges from 40 °C to 320 °C and still provide performance. Unfortunately it simply cannot happen in regular fuels . A single oil has a typical centistoke value they like to operate at and for maximum engine protection this wont do ! the CST range of 1 or even 2 oils is not broad enough to help all the moving parts at all the temp ranges. Where we have made the difference is combined 3 oils that work together to cover all 3 stages of engine running. This means a whole range of engine protection that allows your engine to sing like a bird all day long ! And its no easy task. Having to create something like this took years of developement and experimentation. Blending these oils is one thing , blending them to the right ammounts is another.. We have managed to create the best formula using 3 oils so that they work " together". You will notice less heat, more performance and less break downs.. Plugs last longer, and engine wear is reduced by up to 50% over conventional fuels. What we have created is a completely new technology that will revolutionise the way 2 stroke fuels work. Its only a matter of time before someone copies this technology... But copying is one thing, getting it right is another. We have found that if the right oils aren’t selected and then used in the exact right amounts the results are very unsatisfactory. What you are left with is the same as a conventional fuel. No gain. We use 1 Custom made Caster oil and 2 Synthetics one of which has an auto ignition pont of over 420 Deg C . There is no way this particularly high performing oil can burn off in conventional engine use. IXO Trans oil is designed by and made for MassiveMods . Ok the 3 stages of protection from hybrid 3 fuels. The philosophy behind Hybrid 3 technology is that an engine goes through 3 heat cycles whenever it operates. Cold , Operating and Extreme. It occoured to me designing a fuel that will operate at all these 3 stages makes sense. When an engine is cold this is when the most wear can occour, mainly because a sleeve is not expanded to operating temp. The first oil acts straight away from the moment it enters the engine, is protecting all the vital parts creating a barrier against wear. The second oil works best at operating temp and the third acts as an extreme protection oil when the engine reaches high temps, up to 240 °C . Mind you most motors will give up the ghost once they hit 180 °C. This affords great confidence when using Hybrid 3 fuels. History An interesting question was asked of me recently “ how can your fuel be more consistant than bulk manufactured fuels ? and I responded with the following. In order to answer I have to give a brief histroy on my back ground. My father was a blender for a distillery for 23 years . His primary function was to check and blend alcohol. His primary method was to measure and blend by hand because under government regulations he had to. He also explained that the reason was because for human consumption blending with machines was not 100% accurate, Why is that ? Because a machine cant pick up when it makes a mistake, any part of machinery can break down … This is why my father was employed for so long. He was faultless in his methods for blending and in 23 years never came up with a lab reading that was over the acceptable limit which was .02 % accuracy. I spent the first 14 years of my life watching him blend alcohol , its no wonder I have followed in his foot steps, well sort of, don’t try to drink my fuel please ! lol . The short of the story is that there is nothing more accurate than to measure by hand volumetrically with a solid method in place. My fuels are the same every time without failure. I have developed a method that I tested on my own car with my own racing and have had great results with it. This is what I use now and will always use.
